For the Moment is an upcoming indie stop motion short film. The film follows The Traveler and The Beast in a slice of life adventure across the skies to undo a curse set upon their world. Each dilapidated floating island offers an opportunity to find powerful relics with a chance to end it all. But even comfort can be found in long, arduous adversities. In a story highlighting the quiet moments in between, perhaps a curse can be a blessing.

A compilation of these materials are made public through the content below.As of late 2025, the project is on indefinite hiatus due to a lack of clarity and cohesion in the story and visuals. The creator, Roo Nelo, intends to focus on small scale projects outside of Lone Room Studio to build experience. The hope is to return with a deeper sense of knowledge and confidence necessary to create the world of For the Moment.
What is Lone Room Studio?
Lone Room Studio is an indie art and animation studio based in the United States. Founded by artist and animator Roo Nelo, it serves as a hub for his large scale creative projects. The studio embraces quiet atmospheres and wistful vibes through contemplative visual storytelling. Projects draw inspiration from fantasy, Japanese iyashikei, and ordinary moments. The hope is to craft and explore worlds by blending various techniques from handmade to digital.
